HAGSTROM ARTIST PAT SMEAR INDUCTED INTO GUITAR CENTER'S ROCKWALK

On Wednesday, August 20, 2008 Hagstrom artist Pat Smear, along with his band The Germs, will be inducted into Guitar Center's RockWalk.

Located outside Guitar Center's Hollywood store on the famous Sunset Strip, the RockWalk honors individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to the music industry. Previous inductess include Aerosmith, Van Halen, Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix, KISS and many more.

In addition to their induction into the RockWalk, The Germs can currently be seen playing dates on The Warped Tour and the biopic, "What We Do Is Secret" which chronicles the rise of the band, opens in theaters on August 8, 2008. This film contains an emotional scene where Pat Smear (played by Rick Gonzalez) gets his very first Hagstrom guitar.

Guitarist Pat Smear has been playing Hagstroms for over 20 years with bands such as The Germs, Nirvana and The Foo Fighters, and is recognized as having one of the largest vintage collection of Hagstrom guitars in the USA.
